3600 Government Higher Secondary Schools in Tamilnadu, to fill the 2100 Post Graduate Teachers (PGT) vacancies in Government Higher Secondary Schools at present, so, the Tamilnadu Teachers Recruitment Board will publish the written examination's notification very soon.
The official announcement is mentioned in the news paper news that Tamilnadu Government is upgrading 1000 Government High Schools as Higher Secondary Schools, from the newly upgraded government schools, 1000 new PGT posts will be created. Among the new 1000 posts, 50% (500 posts) will be filled through promotion and remaining 500 posts will be recruited through TRB. Basically 1:1 formula is adopted to recruited the above mentioned posts.

The Honorable Tamilnadu School Education Minister was conveyed that, there are 1800 Post Graduate Teachers (PGT) vacancies are already available in the Tamil Nadu Government Higher Secondary Schools from previous years and 1500 more Post Graduate Teachers vacancies will be created during this year. - TRB's PGT written examination question pattern will consist of 150 MCQ Type Questions.
- Duration will be 3 Hours
- Main Subject - 110 Questions
- Education Methodology - 30 Questions
- General Knowledge - 10 Questions
- Total - 150 Questions
Age Limit for Tamilnadu PG TRB Exam
- Candidates are appeared in TRB PGT Examination should not be more than 57 years as on the notification year.
How to Apply for Tamilnadu PG TRB Examination ?
(Based on 2014 TRB PGT Exam notification)
Step 1 :
Application form for the TRB PGT Examination can be obtained from the Chief Education Officer's (CEO) Office in your District by paying Rs.50/- (Application form fee)
Step 2 :
Pay Examination Fee of Rs. 500 / - ( Rs.250 / - for SC/ST and Differently Abled candidates). The examination fee can be paid at any branch of State Bank of India - SBI / Indian Bank / IOB banks. ( Fee payment Challan attached with the prospectus)
Step 3 :
Submit the filled PGT Exam application at the your district's CEO Office, before the last date of submission date.
